Judy Stern President of Organize NOW

Judy Stern established her company, Organize NOW, in 1994 and pioneered an emerging profession that is now highly regarded. She helps people become more successful by becoming better organized.

As a consultant, Judy develops customized organizing systems that enhance the productivity of individuals, businesses and organizations. As a problem-solver and an efficiency expert, Judy goes where few people go: to the realm of the disorganized, where she creates order out of chaos.

Judy keeps her work with clients strictly confidential.

Judy is a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) and has served on its national board and on the New York chapter board. NAPO has been in existence since 1985, and its membership exceeds over 4,000 worldwide.

Judy earned a bachelors degree in biology and worked in medical research for eight years. Before going into business for herself, she also held positions as varied as managing a piano company (2 years) and selling forklift trucks (7 years).

Her Organize NOW clients benefit from her solid business knowledge and life experience.

As an organizing consultant, Judy has appeared on local radio and television shows and has been featured in many local and national newspaper and magazine articles. For many years, she taught a popular adult education course called "Get Organized! How Can You Become Famous if You Can’t Find Things?"

Her local (New York) Chamber of Commerce awarded Judy the 2002 Businessperson of the Year Award and the Giraffe Award (for people who stick their neck out for the community) in 2003. She recently (2007) moved from New York to Santa Rosa, California, and resumes her office organizing practice on the West Coast.

Because she was not always organized herself, Judy greatly appreciates the benefits of becoming better organized: she is able to run a business successfully; be active in business and community organizations; enjoy business and social relationships, and hobbies including yoga and African Drumming.

Judy has two grown sons, one of whom lives in San Francisco and the other in London, England.
